The Perma Blend Solution to the 2022 EU Ink Ban

As of January 4th, permanent makeup artists in the EU are facing a ban that affects their livelihood. Known as REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals), the ban restricts the use of 4,000 chemicals, some of which are found in commonly used permanent makeup pigments.

Perma Blend Is Taking Action

Worldwide leader in permanent makeup pigments and supplies, Perma Blend is offering a solution for European PMU artists. The Perma Blend mission is to offer professional EU artists continued access to top-quality pigments.

Responding to the ban right away, Perma Blend has tripled the size of their US-based manufacturing, bottling, and R&D facility. Perma Blend has also enforced a new quality management system, all to create a new REACH-compliant line of PMU pigments.

About the Perma Blend Luxe Line

The Perma Blend Luxe line of pigments so far consists of 44 commonly used colors. Each pigment is carefully formulated to meet the new EU ban’s standards. The Luxe line is available to EU-based permanent makeup artists as of January 10th.

"We’re so proud of the extraordinary work of our artists — they make such an impact on the lives of their

clients. We want to make sure they're able to continue their craft."Perma Blend Brand Director Anne Marie Rubino.
